1980's

Through our association with Hills Industries, TE(PNG) was instrumental in the introduction of Cable Television to the country. This was followed by Commercial Broadcast Television and the opening of the market for Hills Television Antennae.

By the latter 80s the company found itself in a position where it considered it necessary to open a Retail outlet in Garden City Boroko in 1987. The initial products were Sebel Furniture, Hills Antennae and accessories and Toa Public Address products. From there, things just grew. The company was asked by some of its Hardware and Electrical suppliers to carry stocks of their ranges in Port Moresby and Lae to service the growing market. This created additional pressure and staffing. Warehouses were established on a modest scale in both locations.
