The
National Health Services Radio Network (NHSRN) was originally conceived
back in 1995 by the then Health Minister Peter Barter. The Network was
designed by TE (PNG) and is based on High Frequency radios. It uses Selective
Calling and has over 45 channels linking Hospitals, Health Centres, Aid
Posts, Missions and Provincial Offices. As of June 1999 TE PNG had installed
over 500 Barrett HF radios throughout 11 Provinces, linked to the NHSRN,
making it the largest Selcall based HF radio network in the country. |
